Discipline. Character building. These are the reasons that both Jesse Zeigler (Shipping Supervisor) and Anthony Marcarte (Assembly) joined Lehigh Valley Martial Arts in Fogelsville. Their hard work paid off, as each earned the level of Black Belt – Jesse in November 2014, and Anthony on Saturday, Aug. 1.
After years of study, black belt candidate take a 5-6 hour test to demonstrate their skills. In addition, each gives a speech to explain what they’ve learned and how they apply it to the real world.
Jesse noted that the self-discipline and leadership skills he has developed helps him daily with interactions with people at work and home.
Anthony looked back on the growth in character he has undergone in the past two years. He noted that he is more open with people, better organized, and more focused, thanks to his training. “My goal is to be present and give 100% to every aspect of daily life”.
