What started with Solar Technology founder Byron Zerphy working in his garage to design a solar-powered traffic sign has now grown into one of the leading Traffic Safety sign and Fleet Management companies in the world… in just 25 years.
On Thursday, Feb. 25th, the Zerphy family and staff celebrated their 25th year with a party at the company’s headquarters. A slide show showing the prototypes of the first solar signs and the early history was on view… including the truck fog lights used in the first arrow board.
In the past 25 years, the company has relocated three times due to growth, expanded its product line from 2 to 18 products, expanded into international markets and was listed as one of the Lehigh Valley Business’ 2015 Fastest Growing Companies.
Eric Zerphy thanked the staff for their efforts in the past year by saying, “We are where we are today thanks to all of you.”
The company is an ISO-certified manufacturer with in-house R&D, engineering and support staffs. Solar Technologies looks forward to the next 25 years and a continued bright future.
