Tim Silfies, business reporter for WFMZ Channel 69, visited Solar Technology as part of an on-going series of business profiles highlighting products made in the Lehigh Valley.

Co-owner Sabrina Zerphy acted as spokesperson and described how Solar Tech creates portable traffic signs from start to finish in our plant on Cetronia Road. She explained how we make our own circuit boards, electronics, weld and assemble steel (supplied by Daria Metal Fabricators in Perkasie) to produce traffic signs shipped to customers in the US and abroad.

Sabrina also emphasized that we depend on local talent from vocational technical schools and community college graduates who bring very specific skills to their jobs at SolarTech. “We have approximately 100 employees,” said Zerphy.  “We get them right here in the LV, the majority — almost 95% — grew up here.”
