On Wednesday, October 26th, SolarTech’s Vice President of Operations, Bob Miller, accepted a certification naming SolarTech one of the Greater Lehigh Valley’s fastest growing companies. The awards ceremony was produced by Lehigh Valley Business, and was presented by Baker Tilly and sponsored by Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corporation and two local banks.
The Lehigh Valley Business Fastest Growing Companies awards program celebrates the Allentown area’s most dynamic companies who contribute to the success of the region’s economic growth and stability. To qualify, companies had to meet selection criteria that included a revenue size of at least $500,000 and revenue growth over a three year period (fiscal year 2013 to 2015).
Solar Technology attributes its growth to its ongoing commitment to offer technologically advanced products. In 2015, they added modems and GPS to all their message boards, making the company the first to offer remote communications. In 2016, they added remote communications to arrow boards, and waved the costs for the cellular connection, making SolarTech the first in the industry to include free remote communications across the entire product line.
Solar Technology will be introducing a new ITS product in 2017, continuing its growth by offering product innovation and industry leadership.
