CE Mark
11/29/2012The CE mark is a mandatory safety mark placed on a variety of products sold within the European Economic Area (EEA).
CE certification requires electronic components to undergo a series of mechanical and electrical tests designed to verify the safety and reliability of the equipment. One such test measures the amount of Radio Frequency (RF) energy emitted by the electronic components and assemblies of the product, commonly known as Electromagnetic Interference (EMI). Excessive amounts of EMI can interrupt, or otherwise degrade the effective performance of neighboring electronic or electrical equipment.
Meeting CE requirements ensures that SolarTech’s equipment will not interfere with the function of other electronic or electrical equipment in close proximity, such as critical police or emergency medical devices.
All SolarTech equipment now carries a CE mark.
